About
My name is Shaun Ruvoldt, and I am a retired Master Sergeant as well as a combat Veteran. I enlisted in the U.S. military in April 2001 while I was still in high school. I wanted to serve my country in some capacity, and I also wanted to obtain my college degree. After completing my initial training, I returned to Ohio to serve in the Ohio Army National Guard. In 2004, I was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon my return from my deployment, I transitioned to a role in recruiting as an AGR (Active Guard Reserve) soldier. I have been involved in recruiting in various capacities for over 18 years until I was medically retired at the end of 2023.
During my time in recruiting, I have served as a field recruiter, Senior Marketing NCO (Noncommissioned Officer), NCOIC (Noncommissioned Officer in Charge) for both small and large companies, TFO (Task Force Officer) recruiter, and a Battalion Master trainer. I have gained extensive experience in a wide range of roles within the military recruitment sector for nearly two decades. In essence, I am fluent in the lingo because I lived the experience.
Throughout my tenure serving our esteemed nation, I have received numerous awards and recognitions. While working in the Ohio marketing department, I was honored with the title of Marketing NCO of the Year for delivering outstanding results for the battalion and promoting the organization across the far reaches of Ohio in ways that significantly aided the recruiter. Additionally, I have been awarded the title of “Expert 7,” which is effectively the NCOIC of the Year, for three consecutive years—a feat that has never been achieved by anyone in the Ohio Army National Guard’s history.
